What are Seeds?
Seeds act as a virtual currency designed to encourage and reward healthy daily habits. Seeds are earned by completing various activities in the app, with bonus Seeds for hitting certain daily goals.

How can I earn Seeds?
You can earn Seeds for completing many actions in the app, like a variety of logging tasks, reading content, and banking steps.
What can I do with my Seeds?
Seeds can be donated to support causes or redeemed for gift cards at common establishments. Seeds may also be used to repair a broken Streak, if the Streak is eligible. Please note gift cards are not available in all programs.
Where can I redeem my Seeds for Rewards?
You can access the Rewards section by tapping the Seeds icon in the header of the app.
How do my Seeds help support causes?
Noom is a supportive community designed to empower you to form healthy habits and live better, healthier lives. We not only reward you for your achievements and contributions, but we also empower you to make a difference by allocating those rewards toward causes that are making the world a better place for everyone.
When you choose to contribute Seeds to better the world, we show you an example of what your contribution may provide, mathematically, in support of your chosen cause. These calculations are based on publicly available data (or in some cases data provided by the organizations we support) and are meant to be symbolic, as donations in many cases can’t be directly earmarked for a specific item or initiative.
Each month, Noom donates actual US dollars to the organizations working on each cause our members have chosen to support, based on the number of Seeds contributed that month.
Why didn’t I get my Seeds when I was supposed to?
In most cases, the Seeds have been issued successfully — the balance updates quickly and can be easily missed.
If you’d like us to confirm whether your Seeds were issued, reach out to us at support@noom.com with the date and activity, and we’ll be happy to look into it.
Where’s my gift card reward?
Noom will send an initial reward email to the address you entered during the gift card redemption process. It comes from Noom Rewards with the subject line “Thank you from Noom!” and contains a redemption link where you can select your gift card. Since gift cards are not selected at the time of redemption in the app, this email is a required step to get your reward — please keep an eye out for it!
Once you’ve selected your gift card, you’ll receive a second email — likely on the same thread — with your gift card information. This email looks very similar to the first, so please check your inbox carefully.
Please allow 5 business days for the initial reward email to arrive after redeeming, and check your spam or junk folders as well, since these emails can sometimes be filtered there.

Where did my Seeds go?
Seeds expire after 180 days of inactivity (defined as 180 days without earning Seeds). If you believe your Seeds expired when they shouldn’t have, please contact our Support team at support@noom.com so we can help investigate the issue.
